Safety is the foundation upon which every structure is built.
All workers and visitors must wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as goggles, helmets, gloves, ear muffs/plugs, boots, and high-visibility vests to minimize exposure to hazards.
Follow safety signs placed around the site, including prohibition, mandatory, warning, safe condition, and fire fighting equipment signs.
Conduct site inductions for new workers and use toolbox talks to communicate health and safety instructions effectively.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free construction site by cleaning debris, dust, and other potential hazards regularly.
Ensure tools are stored in their designated places and power tools are unplugged to prevent damage and injuries.
Avoid using makeshift tools and always use the appropriate equipment for each task.
Develop and communicate an emergency response plan to guide actions during emergencies, natural disasters, fires, hazardous spills, etc.
Implement engineering controls like barriers, fences, and safeguards to protect individuals from hazardous areas.
Before starting work, inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are free from defects or damage.
Encourage workers to report any safety issues, hazards, or equipment defects immediately to prevent potential accidents.
